Allen Michael Abell

Allen Michael Abell, a compassionate individual known for his dedication to helping disabled individuals as a CARE client assistant and a Special Olympics Athlete, has passed away at the age of 26. Born on June 22, 1997, in Longview, Washington, Allen tragically left this world on June 11, 2024, at his home in Kelso, Washington.

Throughout his life, Allen Abell made a significant impact in his community through his personality and work including his seasonal work bucking hay. He was a high school graduate who found fulfillment in supporting disabled individuals and advocating for their rights. Allen's outgoing nature, infectious laugh, and genuine care for others endeared him to all who knew him. His faith was central to his identity as a Christian young man who had a deep love for Jesus Christ.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Allen enjoyed various hobbies and interests such as bowling, flag football, basketball, softball, and soccer. His zest for life and sportsmanship shone brightly in all he pursued.

A memorial service to honor the life of Allen Michael Abell will be held on July 20, 2024, at the East Hills Alliance Church located at 1405 Burcham Street, Kelso, WA 98626. The service will commence at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM.

Allen will be dearly missed by his surviving family members including his father Michael Abell, mother Donna Abell, sister Alicia Shryock, brother-in-law Adam Shryock, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

His untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. May we remember Allen for the love he shared and the positive impact he had on so many lives. In our memories and hearts forevermore.
