Annabelle Hanson “Ann” 82, of Longview, passed away September 22, 2024, surrounded by family after a brief illness with cancer. Ann was born October 16,1941, in North Bend Oregon to William Page and Vera Ruth Jones. 

Ann had a brother Bill (Marykay). Her mother passed away when she was only 11 and her father remarried Genevra Dolores Wall who was a widow with three boys Chuck (Diana), Rob (Karen), and Tim (Sue). She loved her brothers and her large family. Her home was where all the kids in the neighborhood would congregate. 

After Graduating from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, Oregon, Ann attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where she met the love of her life Steve Hanson. They married on June 2, 1962, and went to the Seattle World’s Fair for their Honeymoon. They would spend their first night in a little town on the way called Longview, who knew that 5 years later they would find their way back to Longview/Kelso and manage KLOG and later KUKN Radio. 

Ann was a mother to her sons Ken (Charell), Joel (Jodi) and Mark (Angie). Her family was what she cherished the most. Her Daughter In-laws that became the daughters she never had, her five grandchildren Alec (Frankie), Kayla, Megan (Mathew), Savanah (Aubrey), and Max. Her great grandchildren Brody, Lincoln, Avery, Felicity, Isla, and Freya. And numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

As the family grew, she would knit a custom Christmas Stocking for each with their names, and the year they were born. Ann was also an astute business partner and bookkeeper to Steve as they grew the family business they would come to own, and later sell to their son Joel. Ann was also very involved in her community and volunteered to the Progress Center was a member of Junior Service League, PEO, and the Kelso United Methodist Presbyterian Church.

 A memorial Service will be held on October 12, 2024, at Kelso United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Kelso, WA at 2pm with reception to follow.
