Proud family man Arnold James Albrecht, 83, of Kalama, passed away April 14, 2021, in Ocean Park, Wash.
He was born Jan. 26, 1938, in Chehalis, Wash., to Gerry and Eileen (Carty) Albrecht, graduated from Woodland High School in 1956, and lived in Lewis and Cowlitz counties for 60 years.
Arnie served in the Army National Guard of Washington, active duty and reserves, for six years and six months. He owned Albrecht Logging from 1960 to 2000. He was a member of the BPOE #1482 Kelso Elks Lodge, and enjoyed reading, crabbing, clamming and travel.
Loving, kind and jovial, Arnie was always accepting of others, his love never waivered.
He married Gloria Tanner in 1961 and they had two children. Gloria and their daughter, Maria Albrecht, preceded Arnie in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Denise Albrecht of Ocean Park, Wash.; three grandchildren, Meesha Albrecht of Loon Lake, Wash., Emily Albrecht of Ocean Park and Celena Albrecht of Deer Park, Wash.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Joel Albrecht and Melissa Albrecht, both of Kalama.
