Barton Dale Heerensperger

Barton Dale Heerensperger, 83, of Longview passed away June 26, 2023, in Bellevue, Wash.

He was born March 29, 1940, in Kelso to Paul and Leona Heerensperger and spent most of his life in the local area.

Barton attended the University of Washington, earning a bachelor of science in ceramics engineering. He retired in 2008.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading, working in the yard, and staying up to date on politics. He was logical and opinionated, but a loving grandfather, father and husband.

Barton married his wife Betty in May of 1963 in Reno, Nev. She survives him in Bellevue, Wash.. Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Tamara Heerensperger of Longview and Kallie and James Veeneman of Sammamish, Wash.; and two granddaughters, Janet Veeneman and Charlotte Veeneman, both of Sammamish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Heerensperger.
