Bonnie S. King, 78, of Longview, passed away Nov. 28, 2021, at St. John Medical Center.
She was born March 31, 1943, to Floyd and Iva Ruddick. Bonnie attended Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. On Oct. 22, 1966, she married Nels S. King in Walla Walla, Wash.
Bonnie was a telephone operator for Long Bell, and St. John Medical Center, as well as a secretary in their Dialysis Dept. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Brethren Church and enjoyed quilting. Bonnie will be remembered for her compassion and caring.
Survivors include a brother, David Ruddick of Pullman, Wash.; a son, Walter King of New Pekin, Ind.; a daughter, Shannon McLain of Longview; a step-daughter, Tawni Solberg of Othello, Wash.; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Her husband Nels preceded her in death.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Feb. 5, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Brethren Church, 210 Fishers Lane, in Kelso. Pastor Ben Breslin will officiate.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
