She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate lifelong teacher who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her inner strength and determination enabled her to live life with passion, enthusiasm, and gusto until the end.

Buffe was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and beloved husband, J. William Antilla. She is survived by her three children, Tim, Bill, and Sue Antilla; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and generations of nieces and nephews.
Buffe was laid to rest during a private family inurnment at Longview Memorial Park. A memorial service at the Longview First Christian Church, of which she was a longtime member, will be announced post-pandemic.
