Christine McDonald

Beloved mother and grandmother, Christine McDonald, 67, of Longview passed away March 27, 2024.

She was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Longview, to Paul Weldon and Maybelle Lillie (Ness) McDonald with her twin sister Geraldine. Christine spent her entire life in the Pacific Northwest, aside from six months in Arizona.

Christine was a high school graduate. She worked as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed walks along the Kalama Marina, spending time with family and friends, gardening, and time in the sun. She always wore a smile and laughed easily. Christine was caring, spiritual, passionate and determined.

Survivors include a daughter, Amber Foshaug of Oregon City, Ore.; two grandchildren, Oliver Rebsch and Jaydin Garrow, both of Oregon City; three siblings, her twin, Geraldine Pedersen, Peggy Richter and Weldon McDonald; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Melody Joy Laurila.

Christine was laid to rest at Longview Memorial Park April 6. Weldon Paul McDonald, Jerry Richter and Dale Pederson served as pallbearers. A celebration of Christine’s life at the Kalama Marina will be announced at a later date.
