Corrine Evelyn Clegg, 82, of Longview passed away May 9, 2024, at St. John Medical Center in Longview.
She was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Portland, Ore., to Robert and Maxine (Sheets) Phillippi, and was a high school graduate.
Corrine married David Clegg in Portland July 25, 1970, and they made their home in Longview, where she worked as a dry cleaner.
She was a member of New Life Fellowship. Corrine was a prayer warrior and had a great faith. She enjoyed Bible study, ceramics, quilting, crocheting, and clamming. She was outgoing and social.
Corrine is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and David Fleming, and Tamara and Patrick Pickett, all of Longview; a brother, Jim Phillippi of New Braunfels, Texas; a sister, Connie Lane of Beaverton, Ore; five grandchildren and their spouses, Brian Fleming, Kristine Fleming, Zachary and Tasha Fleming, Christopher and Carlianne Pickett and Katie Pickett, all of Longview; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Maxine Phillippi; and her husband, David Clegg.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. June 3 at Steele Chapel, 5050 Mt. Solo Road in Longview. Pastor Tony Ward will officiate. Following the service Corrine will be laid to rest next to David at Longview Memorial Park. Pallbearers include David Fleming, Patrick Pickett, Brian Fleming, Zachary Fleming, Kristine Fleming, and Christopher Pickett.
