Dorothy Pauline Johnson was born December 29, 1944 in Wapato, Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Johnson married 63 years, Her son,
Robert J and daughter in law, Debbie Johnson and her son, Steve Johnson. She
was loved deeply by her sons and daughter-in-law. She has 13 grandchildren and
4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father, Paul Kearns and
Mother, Maxine Overacker and mother-in-law Gladys Kearns. Dorothy was known
by family and friends as “Pauline” or “Polly”. She really enjoyed crocheting. Many
blankets were made by her and grandchildren were wrapped in her blankets with
love. She has given many crocheted blankets to others over the years. She made
lap blankets for elders in our community. She also enjoyed crafting, making many
plastic canvas items. Pauline enjoyed cooking and made delicious dishes like
potato salad, corn bread dressing and home make gravy. Holidays were especially
lovely and were filled with her homemade rolls and handmade pies. She loved to
cook and try new recipes. Pauline loved her children and grandchildren and great-
grandchildren and enjoyed seeing them whenever they visited. She enjoyed
having BBQ’s and would whip up a meal for everyone to eat. Pauline had long
time friends, Charlotte Smith, Carol Parks and Earnestine Martindale. Pauline
received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at
Proebstel Church. Bob and Pauline attended Proebstel Church for many years
when Pastor Clifford Emery, Pastor Palmer Hansen and Pastor Stan Salapka were
in the pulpit. Her family and friends have commented that “she was the best
person I have ever known” “She was a wonderful person”.
