It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, mentor and friend.
Lloyd was born in Portland, Oregon to Esther and Everett Fawver. He graduated from Jefferson High School, attended Portland State University, and was quite proud of his military service.
Over the years he belonged to numerous professional organizations and worked in the community on local causes. He was also an accomplished nurseryman (professional grower).
In 1976, his love of rural life, big trees, and nature brought him to Battle Ground, WA, where he resided for 42 years.
Lloyd retired from Daimler Trucks (Freightliner) in 1991 after working 25 years in management. He traveled extensively for the Company, and there was never a heavy-duty truck nor piece of big equipment that he didn't love or couldn't tell you most everything about. You could not travel anywhere with him without running into someone he knew. He had a wealth of knowledge about many subjects, and there was pretty much nothing he couldn't fix.
He was blessed with a quick wit and remarkable sense of humor.
Lloyd will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife, Sally; daughter, Susan; son, Steve (Sarah); step-daughters, Carrie Simmons and Nicole Davis (Bruce); sister, Mary Huff; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
At Lloyd's request there will be no funeral or celebration of life.
He would suggest donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation or charity of your choice.
