Gayanne Bicandi

Gayanne Bicandi passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 at the age of 83 in Vancouver, WA after a 16-year battle with Alzheimers. She was born on November 23, 1935 in Dresden, TN. Gayanne graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland, OR.
She married Ysedro Bicandi in 1962. They started their life in California and moved to Ridgefield, WA in 1967 where they raised their five children.
Gayanne worked 40 years at Crown Zellerbach/Rexam Graphics in various roles but mostly as Executive Secretary to the Plant Manager.
She enjoyed all types of music, avid concert fanatic, movies and tv, but most especially her daily exercise routine of running from room to room taping multiple programs on her VHS tapes. She was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face.
Gayanne loved her family and had so much fun with her grandkids. They've always said she was the cool grandma!
Gayanne leaves behind five children and their spouses Ray Bicandi, Mitch Bicandi (wife Janet), Deanne Herrmann (husband Bill), Shelley Fox (husband Larry) and Lisa Allen (husband Mike); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Katie Hutcherson; her spouse, Ysedro Bicandi; her sister, Judy Holteen; and her loving companion, Jim Howell.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all doctors and numerous caregivers for their love and support throughout the years. We couldn't have done it without you.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31st, 2019 at Northwood Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Ridgefield, WA.
