ILONA MAE FALK
January 14, 1933 ~ February 26, 2018
Ilona Mae Falk passed away on Feb. 26, 2018. She was born Ilona Hakala to parents, John and mother Nannie in Ironwood, Michigan where she grew up on a forty-acre farm with a large family including brothers: John, Robert, George, Merril, and Edward and sisters, Helena and June. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1951. John Hakala was the Supervisor of Ironwood Township.
On a family visit to Battle Ground, WA, Ilona met Roy E. Falk, whom she married on Dec. 12, 1953. Ilona and Roy Falk lived in Battle Ground and later, Vancouver, WA.
Ilona's career included work as a secretary at Veteran's Hospital and the Juvenile Parole Office in Vancouver, WA, Admissions at Vancouver Memorial Hospital, owner of Mrs. Falk's Little Folks, Deputy County Clerk at the Clark County Clerk's Office, owner of Helping Hand Service providing care for the elderly and she finished her working career with CDM Services.
She loved the holidays, was famous for her exceptional cooking; enjoyed fishing and boating with her family.

compassionate care that she provided to others. "
Ilona is survived by her daughter, Judy Uptmor (Victor Uptmor); sons, David (Debra Jurasevich) and Daniel Falk (Wendy Robards); and grandkids, Niccole Wollam (Terry), Anthony Angelo (Kaylyn), Brandon Angelo, Chris Uptmor, Kyle Uptmor, Jennifer Falk, Jacob Falk and Linnea Schears.
Sahe was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Falk; and by her daughter, Joy Falk.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sat., March 3rd, 4:30 p.m. at Union Chapel in downtown Vancouver, WA.
