Jackie Lynn Ouzts(Smiley) was born on April 26, 1952 in Florence, OR. She died on June 6, 2021 in Toutle, WA.

Jackie Lynn Smiley was born to Earl and Rayna Smiley on April 26, 1952 in Florence, Oregon. She was the oldest of four Smiley children. She was raised in Reedsport, graduating from Reedsport High in 1970.

After attending her first year of college at SWOCC in Coos Bay, Oregon, Jackie moved to Salt Lake City to attend a business college. She then worked for a bank where her job was to make their credit cards. During this time she met Rick Ouzts. They were married in the Ogden Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in November 1975. In 1976 they began their family, raising six children, living first in Utah, then Oregon, and finally settling in Toutle, Washington.

Jackie loved her family and being a homemaker. She was creative and crafty. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and sewing. Her favorite thing was spending time with family.

In 2016 Jackie was diagnosed with liver disease. She passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of June 6, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Earl and Rayna Smiley, and a grandson, Mahonri Cooper. She is survived by her husband, Rick Ouzts, her 6 children, Rayna Martin, Bethany Cooper, Rebecca Ouzts, Heather Judd, Marissa Ouzts, Ben Ouzts, their spouses, and 10 grandchildren.
