Jeannette June Sorenson was born on August 1, 1936 in Larimore North Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota and married Lloyd Sorenson in 1960. Lloyd and Jeannette moved from North Dakota and settled in Kelso, Washington shortly after being married. They later moved to Vancouver and eventually Battle Ground. Jeannette enjoyed staying at home and raising her young family. As the kids grew she worked at First Independent Bank and Cenex. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and watching the Trail Blazers. Jeannette was a provider, she and Lloyd's first priority was taking the best care of the family with love and balance; church, school, camping, baseball, softball, band, horses, football, soccer, basketball, hunting, motorcycles -- simply enjoying life while teaching values. Her favorite thing was this journey, she was vested, she was always there to talk, she listened, and she shared her wisdom, experience and insight. We will miss her dearly. Jeannette passed away on August 22nd, 2016 in Vancouver, Washington with her family at her side. She was 80 years old. Jeannette is survived by her husband Lloyd, sons Scott Sorenson (Mary), Kory Sorenson (Amy), and her daughter Linda Sorenson-Dull (Tim), multiple grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one sister Judy. She was preceded in death by her father Elmer Arthur Bowman, and mother Florence Marie Drinnen. A memorial service will be held at Northwood Park on Friday September 23rd at 1 PM. Northwood Park is located at 16407 NE 15th Ave., Ridgefield, Washington 98642.
