John Borelli

On Nov. 20, 2023 at 5:15 p.m. John Borelli, formerly of San Francisco, died peacefully at St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash., at the age of 79, after a battle with bladder infections that spread to his blood and to his brain.

John is survived by a sister and sister-in-law, Sandra Macias-Hughes and Lynn Hughes of Kalama, Wash.; a nephew and his wife, Roger and Monica Macias of Ridgefield, Wash.; and two great-nephews, Sebastian Galvis and Santiago Macias.

After graduating from Seattle University, John started as a social worker and retired as an administrator with the San Francisco Social Welfare Department after 20 plus years. After retirement he traveled and enjoyed attending San Francisco Giants and 49ers games.

John moved to Longview to be near family several years ago. His only requirement was to get the SF Giants, 49ers and Warriors on television.

A celebration of life will be held in San Francisco in the summer.
