John James Large, 54, of Salem, Ore., passed away March 31, 2023.
He was born Jan. 31, 1969, in Denver, Colo., to John Chris Cordova and Penny Lynn Senwirse. John was adopted by James and Laura Large. He lived in Longview before moving to Oregon in 1995.
John began working in the janitorial industry at the age of 18. With hard work and integrity, he retired as an operations manager for a large corporation in 2022.
He loved boating with his family, watching sports, golfing and spending time with loved-ones. He was kind, loving and always there for anyone, anytime. He was devoted to the Lord. John had a blunt personality, and always said what was on his mind.
John is survived by three sisters, Connie Johnson of Albany, Ore., and Laurie Hodges and Tammy Cordova, both of Longview; two brothers, Jason Cordova of Des Moines, Iowa and Rick Large of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Nicole Hardesty of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sons, Andrew Large and Logan Large, both of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren; seven nieces; and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Hardesty; and his parents, both biological and adoptive.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Church of Christ, 2219 50th Ave., in Longview.
