Judith Marie Thomasson, 79, of Longview, passed away Nov. 23, 2022, at The Arbor in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 10, 1942, in Miles City, Mont., to Michael and Zella (Ewalt) Dinardi. Judith attended schools in Missoula, Mont. She joined the Marine Corps and received her basic training at Parris Island before being stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
In June of 1962, she married Michael J. Thomasson in California. They had five children and later divorced, but remained friends.
Judith enjoyed working for Tolly Craft before accepting a position with the State of Washington as a DSHS case manager. She loved this job and was broken-hearted when she had to retire due to medical issues in 1997.
She was spunky, giving, caring, supportive of those she loved, and dedicated to her family. Judith loved animals, especially her pets Candy and Bear Bear, and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborha Putnam of Longview and Brenda Borroz of Winlock; two sons, James Thomasson of Kalama and Robert Thomasson of Longview; three sisters, Michele Dinardi-Chisamore of Juniper Valley, Calif., and Nancy DeVaul and Peggy Phillips, both of Eugene, Ore.; seven granddaughters, Dara Moore and Kariebeth Morris, both of Longview, KayLee Ireton of Glenoma, Wash., Rozella Baldwin of Kelso, and Chelsea, Rylea and Devyn Thomasson, all of Kalama; four grandsons, Christian Putnam and Taylor Thomasson, both of Longview, Jeffrey Jacobs of Winlock and Austin Thomasson of Kalama; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Judith was preceded in death by a daughter, Josephine M. Thomasson; her father, Michael Dinardi; her mother and stepfather, Zella (Ewalt) and Clare L. Phillips; and her former spouse, Michael J. Thomasson.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at Evangel Christian Fellowship, 1335 11th Ave., in Longview. Pastor Kevin Salinas will officiate.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
