Kim D'Ann Long, born on January 26, 1957, in Springfield, OR, passed away peacefully on July 22,2024, in Longview, WA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and big heart touched the lives of many. Kim's journey was marked by her dedication to education. After graduating from Springfield High School in 1975, she furthered her studies at Lane Community College and earned an associate's degree from Columbia College. Kim's commitment to learning reflected her hard-working nature and her desire to better herself for the benefit of her family.
A compassionate individual, Kim will be remembered for her unwavering kindness towards others. Her warmth and willingness to listen made her a comforting presence to all who knew her. She exemplified strength and grace, particularly during her battle with cancer, which she faced with courage and resilience until the very end.
Kim found joy in simple pleasures like knitting, crocheting, and reading. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she found solace and guidance in God and the Bible. Kim's faith manifested through her actions as she lived out values of love and compassion each day.
Among Kim's proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Patrick Long (son), Makayla Long (daughter-in-law), Nick Long (son), Kaitlyn Christiansen (daughter), Cameron Christiansen (son-in-law), Camren Fralick (grandson), Caden Long (grandson), Brinley Christiansen (granddaughter), Raelyn Christiansen (granddaughter), and Hallie Christiansen (granddaughter) were sources of immense joy in her life.
She is survived by Janet Deal (sister) along with other family members and friends who will carry on her legacy of love and compassion. Kim is preceded in death by her mother Betty Nieve, father Donald Niece, and brother Dennis Niece.
