KRISTEN RENNER
June 22, 1957 ˜ April 2, 2021
Kristen Renner went home to Jesus on Good Friday, April 2, 2021, at the age of 63, after battling glioblastoma for three years. She passed at her home in Vancouver, WA, surrounded by all three of her children.
Kristen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of everyone she met with her creativity, generosity, and faith in Jesus.
Kristen was born to Mary Ella and David Hansen June 22, 1957, in Southwest Washington. Creative from the beginning, Kristen spent her childhood in her father’s carpentry shop. She excelled at everything she did, making the local newspaper on multiple occasions for her creative talents. She was even picked up by the Associated Press for a mural painting when she was 13 years old. Her academic achievements were rewarded when she graduated as the valedictorian of Kelso High School in 1975.
Kristen married Dennis Renner in 1978 and went on to have Molly, Kadie, and Kristofor.
Kristen was an excellent cook, baker, seamstress and artist. She was also fearless. She loved to travel and was the first to test out new water toys behind the family boat.
Kristen had a gift for connecting others. She was instrumental in keeping her large family together by planning trips, hosting family get-togethers, and just knowing when to call.
Kristen will be missed by her children, siblings, grandchildren and friends, but we know that she is home now, reunited with her husband Denny, and we will see her again.
Kristen’s life will be celebrated at New Heights Church in Vancouver, WA, and via zoom on Saturday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Kristen’s memory can be made to Open House Ministries of Vancouver.
