Lam Luu

Lam Luu, age 91, passed away on Friday February 26, 2021 at St. John hospital in Longview, Washington.

Lam was born on September 9, 1929, to Cam Hung and Ho Thi Tran in Bac Lieu, South Vietnam. Lam worked for an American contractor for the U.S. Armed Forces in Vietnam as an Administrator and Personnel Manager.

Lam and his family fled South Vietnam to the United States in 1975. He started his job at Longview Fibre in August 1975 and retired in July 1995. During the late 70's and 80's, Lam coordinated and helped several local churches in sponsoring many Southeast Asian refugee families.

Lam loved watching sports on TV and was a true Seahawks and Mariners fan. He shared his ideas and passion through his editorial columns in the local newspaper. He adored spending time with his family and was full of life, fun-loving, festive, and zestful. He also always enjoyed the latest electronic and tech gadgets.

Lam was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother and son Luu Ba Dat. He is survived by his wife Tam Luu, three daughters Julie, Jayleen, Jill, son Jeff and his nine grandchildren. Lam will be missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
