Larry D Hedgpeth

Larry D Hedgpeth, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Longview, Washington. He was born on February 10, 1946, in Glendale, Arizona, and lived a life full of joy and laughter. 

Larry was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam War. His years in the military shaped not only his character but also the values he carried throughout his life. After his service, he pursued education and achieved a bachelor's degree at Lower Columbia College, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning. 

Known for his fun-loving personality, Larry filled the lives of those around him with smiles and laughter. He shared countless adventures with his beloved wife, Nancy Hedgpeth, and they traveled together, creating cherished memories and enjoying each other's company in all that they did. His connection with his family was profound, as he reveled in the moments spent with his daughters, Nikki Housley and Lisa Hedgpeth, and his son, Mike Baskett. 

Larry’s passion extended to his hobbies, where he could often be found working on his computer or skillfully putting together puzzles. These interests were more than pastimes; they provided a creative outlet and a chance for him to unwind. 

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife Nancy, daughters Nikki (Jason) and Lisa, and son Mike, along with his brother Nelson (Effie) Hedgpeth and sister Susan (James) White. Larry's legacy continues in their lives and stories. He joins in eternal rest his late son Mark Hedgpeth and siblings Maxine Harvel and Gary Hedgpeth, who are dearly missed. 

Funeral services will be held on January 10, 2025, at Steele Chapel in Longview, Washington, starting at 11:00 AM. The fond memories shared with Larry will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will live on through the love he spread and the laughter he brought into the world.
