Marty Allen Martin 54 of Longview, Washington passed away September 3, 2022, at Hospice with his wife by his side.
Marty was born on November 22, 1967, in Longview to William and Sandra (Williams) Martin. In 1972 his family moved to Rose Valley and continue to reside there. He graduated from Kelso High School in 1986 and later married Tracy(Benes) Borsom in 1989 and later had their only son, Brandon Martin in January of 1994. They later divorced in 1998. Marty worked in several different fields over the years, before working as wastewater/water operator for the City of Winlock for 13 years.
In 2009, Marty met the love of his life, Roberta Mawae-Martin and later married in 2014. Over the past 13 years, Marty lived his life to the fullest with trips to Kauai, Baker Lake, swimming with turtles in Kailua-Kona, attending the 2019 NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, pressing apples with his longtime friend George and his family, and his many trips to California, Nevada, and the Oregon Coast each year for his birthday. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and friends at his favorite spot on the Toutle during the summertime, playing cribbage, Wizard and listening to his music while watching the river pass by.
