Mickey Miranda, 37 left this world and his mother Arleen and stepfather David, girlfriend Kenda and her daughters Payten and Kennedy, many family members and friends he knew and loved so dearly on January 3rd 2022. Mickey was born July 22, 1984 in Longview. He was the only son of Arleen and Michael G Miranda Sr.
Mickey was raised in Longview and Kelso area, he spent alot of time with his Grandparents Donald and Evelyn. He knew where they kept their treats & sodapop, so when his cousins visited he proudly showed them where they were. While growing up he attended the YMCA Summer Day Camp program which he made many friends and memories, and learned good values. He played Longview YMCA Youth Soccer and Basketball, Longview Bambino Youth Baseball, Longview Youth Football, Longview Bowling League and was a member of the Cascade Pacific Council Boy Scouts of America. He attend the National Boy Scout Jamboree twice in Washington DC, attended several boy scout camps in WA and OR and troop campouts, where he learned the love of outdoors, teamwork, compassion, and leadership.
He attended school in both Longview and Kelso graduating from Kelso High School in 2002 where he played Football, also involved in DECA and Debate Club. He enjoyed his High school years with his life long friends and teachers. He was an avid sports fan watching the NFL Raiders, Oregon Ducks, and Portland Blazers. When younger he attend several Seattle Marinier games with his cousin Chris, that was highlight of his many visits to Grandma Lottie's house.
His Mom called Mickey her "Rock n Roll Child" because of his love for all kinds of music listening and attending local and popular band concerts when ever he could. Playing his Xbox and watching sports and movies especially Horror movies was his thing to do while at home.
Having his own family with Kenda and being a Dad to the girls was his greatest joy. Preceeded in death is his Father, Michael G Miranda Sr; Great Grandparents Raymond & Minnie Whitney; Grandparents Donald & Evelyn Whitney, Gilberto Miranda & Lottie Jocson; Cousins Roderick Whitney and Eric Dixon. Mickey's smile and laugh will be missed by all he touched and loved.
The family will have a private burial at Longview Memorial Park. His Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. His coworkers have set up a GoFundMe account to pay tribute to Mickey and his family. https;//gofund.me/9048582c
