Nora D. P. Shadle was born Dec. 21, 1949, in the Philippines, and went home to be with the Lord June 14, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Semenoma Dona Dela Pena; three brothers, three sisters, and her first husband, Noble McCleskey.

Nora is survived by her husband of 30 years, Terry Shadle; three sisters, Rosita “Rose”, Gloria “Baby”, and Luz; a daughter, Josephine Martin Llemos; a stepdaughter, Amy Cook; a stepson, Terry Shadle Jr.; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

My beloved wife loved God, her family, her friends, and life in general. Her radiant smile, laugh, and gentleness were a blessing to all. Nora was a member of a Fil-am group, and enjoyed Bible study, her flowers, especially her roses, and her red 1999 Firebird. She worked for Multnomah Plywood and McDonald’s for many years.

A celebration of Nora’s life is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at Steele Chapel, 5050 Mt. Solo Road, in Longview. Inurnment will follow at Longview Memorial Park. A potluck and time of sharing will be held at North Lake Church, 2614 Ocean Beach Hwy. Food can be dropped off after 10 a.m.
