Heaven gained an angel Aug. 12, 2021, when Randi Clancy, 74, of Longview passed away at home surrounded by family. A shooting star flew over the house when she passed, and her family is confident it was her ride to Heaven.
Randi was born May 26, 1947, in Aberdeen Wash., to Les and Shirley (Stafford) Malone and graduated from Kelso High School in 1965. On May 21, 1967, she married her pen pal Mike Clancy in Reno and became a homemaker.
Randi loved decorating for the holidays and hosting family gatherings, the more family the better. She enjoyed league bowling in her youth and loved camping, hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends around the fire pit. She adored watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Randi was sweet, patient, accepting and knew how to keep Mike’s Irish temper in check.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Mike at home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kendall and Dale Hagen, and Cori and Mark Hulings, all of Longview; six grandchildren, Amy Wright (Morice), Katie Wagner (Matt), Jenny Ulrich (Kane) Trevor Hulings and Brady Hulings (Cassidy) all of Longview and Tanner Hulings (Laly) of Rainier, Ore.; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dan Malone (Elna) of Kelso.
Randi was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leslie Turner.
