Robert Lynn Hayden Jr., known affectionately as Rob, brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him. Born on April 10, 1973, in Longview Washington, he was a beloved son, father, and brother. With a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with humor, Rob touched the lives of many during his time on earth.
After graduating from R.A. Long in 1991, Rob embarked on a fulfilling career journey. He worked at Rainier Auto Sounds for many years before eventually retiring from Westrock in 2020. His dedication and hard work served as an inspiration to those around him.
Rob's magnetic personality shone brightly in every aspect of his life. His friends and family fondly remember his quick wit, sarcastic humor, and penchant for practical jokes. He had a gift for turning even the most mundane moments into something fun and exciting. Rob was never one to shy away from adventure; in fact, he often encouraged others to step out of their comfort zones and try new experiences - whether it be riding thrilling roller coasters or exploring new hobbies.
Outside of work, Rob found joy in various hobbies and interests. From restoring old cars to fishing, clam digging to cooking, he cherished every moment spent pursuing these passions. He had a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature, often finding solace in watching sunsets and sunrises. However, perhaps Rob's greatest joy came from spending time with his close friends, especially Brandon Vaughn and Kelly McBride - individuals who held a special place in his heart.
On July 30, 2024, Longview, Washington lost one of its brightest lights as Rob peacefully passed away. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to live on in the hearts of his surviving family and friends. While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable soul, we find comfort in knowing that Rob's memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.
Rob is survived by his daughter Shelby Hayden; his mother Linda Hayden; his sister Kim King; his brother-in-law Keith King; his nephews Nick King and Matthew King; his niece Katie King; as well as his girlfriend Joanna Wimar and close friend and uncle Kelly McBride. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Hayden Sr.
In this time of sorrow, let us hold on to the joyful memories we shared with Rob - a man whose laughter echoed through our lives and whose love knew no bounds. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
