Ronald Beryl Boyce, 86, of Longview died Sept. 8, 2023, at the Canterbury gardens.
He was born July 6, 1937, in Berkeley, Calif., to Beryl Leon and Dorothy H. (Hudson) Boyce. Ron earned a bachelor of science from Oklahoma State.
Ron served in the Coast Guard from 1956 to 1962 stationed in Juno, Alaska, about the ice cutter USCGC Northwind. He retired as senior case manager for the federal prison system in 2004.
Ron loved fishing on Silver Lake and at Tongue Point. He also enjoyed watching movies, particularly action, western and war dramas.
He married and divorced twice, and never had children. Ron is survived by his twin brother, Donald Boyce of Longview; a nephew, Michael Boyce of Anchorage, Alaska; three great-nieces, twins Katelyn Kuzmin and Kassidy Minnick, and Krystal Boyce, all of Wasilla, Alaska; and a great-nephew, Kyler Boyce of Lebanon, Ore.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Steven Boyce; and a great-nephew, Robert Boyce.
Ron will be laid to rest at Silver Lake Cemetery.
