Longview

Ronald Vernon Powell, affectionately known as Ron, passed away on August 1, 2024, after a battle with lung cancer. He was born on September 15, 1953, in Longview, Washington, where he spent his life - leaving an indelible mark on those around him.

Ron attended of R.A. Long High School and went on to become proud owner and operator of Imperial Auto Bath, an auto detailing business that thrived under his care for over 30 years. His dedication and passion for his work were evident to all who knew him.

One of Ron's greatest joys in life was his collection of classic cars. His 1966 Volkswagen Bug and 1966 Cadillac were not just vehicles to him; they were his pride and joy. When he wasn't caring for cars, Ron could often be found fishing, enjoying the tranquility that the water provided him.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Ron can attest to his honest and down-to-earth nature. A hardworking man who loved what he did, Ron's kindness and friendliness touched the lives of all who crossed his path. He had a knack for striking up conversations with everyone he met, always ready to share a laugh or a story.

Ron will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including his beloved mother Genevive Lefever, sister Shirley Stednitz, niece Desiree Miller, nephew Cody Stednitz, great-nieces Hailee Miller and Khloee Miller. He was preceded in death by his father Vern Powell in 1992 and brother Don Powell in 2017.

Among the memories cherished by those who knew him best is the image of Ron returning home to his mother's house for all holidays - a testament to the love and connection he held dear with his family.

In honoring Ron Powell's memory, let us remember not only the legacy he leaves behind but also the warmth and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace, dear Ron. Your presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

"To those I left behind, I'll catch ya on the flipside" -Ron
