Ginger R. Modrow passed away peacefully at Longview Family Care Home March 4, 2024.
She was born Feb. 23, 1938, to Jessie and Ruby Kellogg in the very small town of Greycliff, Mont. The Kellogg family then moved to a farm near Kalama, Wash. Ginger attended Kalama schools, graduating from Kalama High School in 1956.
Ginger started her working life with retail jobs and then worked a variety of office jobs. She married Clayburn D. “Buck” Modrow in 1965 and had her first child in 1966. Ginger was a fulltime mother and homemaker after that.
Ginger is survived by two sons, Keith and Kenneth Modrow.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie James Kellogg; her mother, Ruby Waller; and five siblings, Reta Jane Kellogg, Ernest Calvin Kellogg, Ivan Kellogg, Ruth Lenora VonAllmen (Kellogg) and Gladys A Smith (Kellogg).
Ginger loved gardening and flowers. She was known for giving tours of her garden to family and friends.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30 at Steele Chapel.
