Scott Eric Johnson, 53, of Vancouver, WA passed away on November 13, 2024. Born on September 29, 1971, Scott was a loving son, brother, and friend, known for his infectious sense of humor and deep compassion.
A graduate of R.A. Long High School and Washington State University, Scott earned a master's degree in psychology, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to learning and helping others. He spent much of his professional career counseling children and troubled youth and made a notable impact on many throughout the years. His academic and professional achievements were matched only by his love for exploring the world including travels across Europe, Fiji, and Argentina.
Scott's passion for life was evident in everything he did. Whether he was spending quality time with his family and friends or making new connections, his warmth, wit, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Scott is survived by his father, Jay Johnson, his sister, Ann Johnson, nephew Isaac, and his uncle, aunts, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Johnson. Scott's family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy of laughter, love, and kindness will live on in their hearts.
A private celebration of Scott's life will be held in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Longview Hospice, where the nurses provided him with compassionate care in his final days.
Scott's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
