Sharon Romano Coquet

Sharon Romano Coquet, age 80, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. She was born on March 8, 1944, in Miami, Florida, and spent much of her life living in Florida and Oregon before settling in Vancouver. 

Sharon was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Mark Coquet; four grandchildren: Savanna Jones, Kael Coquet, Hailey Coquet, and Ella Coquet; and daughters-in-law, Meridith Coquet and Trene Coquet. Sharon is also survived by her brother, Vincent Romano; sister-in-law, Pat Romano; and her nephew, Trey Romano. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her son, David Coquet. 

Sharon spent many years working as a bus driver in both Gresham, Oregon, and Orlando, Florida, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and warm smile. She had a deep love for the beach, where she found peace and joy. Sharon also found great comfort and companionship in spending time with her dogs, Cheech, Lucy, and Louie, who brought her endless happiness. 

A private service will be held in her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter in Sharon’s name, a cause close to her heart. 

Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her loving spirit, dedication to family, and passion for life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
