Longtime local resident Sharon Cecelia Hutton, 81, of Longview passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born March 29, 1942, in Rusk County, Wis., to Lawrence and Cecelia (View) Schoonover. The family moved to the local area soon after. Sharon attended Longview schools before receiving certification from Longview Business College.
On March 17, 1959, she married a boy from her neighborhood, Hal G. Hutton, and they had two sons, Duane and Ron.
Sharon worked at the Medical Arts Lab and Washington Mutual before quitting work to take care of her father. Sharon attended Coal Creek Church since childhood and was a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Fond du Lac Band. She loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking. She also loved spending time at the beach, playing piano and singing, especially with her church group.
Sharon lived to serve others, and enjoyed volunteering with her church family at Community House on Broadway, and helping others in their time of need. She adored children and helped care for those of family and friends for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Hal Hutton at home; her two sons and their spouses, Duane and Tina Hutton, and Ron and Sandi Hutton, both of Longview; a sister and brother-in-law, Lou Ann and Scott Halsey of Longview; six grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan Everson of Seattle, Dustin Everson and Zina Reutov of Homer, Alaska, and Michael and Rachelle Hutton, Tiffanie and Nick Lemiere, Christopher Hutton and Jonathon Hutton, all of Longview; eight great-grandchildren; and generations of nephews and nieces.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Schoonover; and a sister, Carol Wynn.
