Sharon Anne Sperling, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on December 12, 2024, in Longview, Washington. She was born on August 10, 1947, in Vancouver, Washington, to Marvin Cox and Ruth VonAllmen.
From a young age, Sharon demonstrated the nurturing spirit that would define her life. A proud graduate of R.A. Long High School, she pursued her passion for beauty and became a Licensed Cosmetologist. Her talent for making others feel beautiful mirrored her selfless nature—a quality that touched the hearts of so many.
Sharon was a loving and devoted mother to her three children, Tarra Hudson, Shelby Meyer, and Milo Sperling. She embodied kindness and generosity, ensuring that every holiday was extra special for her loved ones. Whether it was through thoughtful gifts or festive gatherings, her family was always her greatest joy. As a grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Brianne, Riley, Isaiah, Jacey, and Jorey, as well as her great-grandchildren, Daxton, Lola, Taevyn, and Oliver, Evander, (due in May). Her legacy of love will continue to shine through them.
Sharon's personality was a beacon of warmth. She was known for her loving, caring demeanor, making her a cherished figure among family and friends. Her selfless nature extended into every aspect of her life, as she provided unwavering support to those around her, always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand. Sharon enjoyed simple pleasures, whether it was engaging in lively dice and board games, particularly scrabble, shopping, singing her favorite songs during karaoke, as well as watching the birds at their feeders, which brought her great delight.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sister Cynthia Moon and brother Anthony VonAllmen. Close friend Marsha Names also stands as a testament to the beautiful friendships Sharon cultivated over the years. Caregivers Merisol Shay and Linda Hammack. Sharon is preceded in death by her father Marvin Cox, mother Ruth VonAllmen, dad William VonAllmen, brother William VonAllmen Jr., sister Marvene Lane, and close friend Pat Sundahl.
Sharon Anne Sperling will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her remarkable spirit, generous heart, and loving memories created a tapestry of joy that will forever remain woven into the lives she touched. May her memory be a blessing, inspiring kindness and love in all who carry her legacy forward.
