Tanya G. Donahue, 68, of Vancouver, Wash., passed away Dec. 1, 2023, at home.

She was born Oct. 23, 1956, in Longview, to Albert B. and Audrey L. (Freeman) Washington.

Tanya graduated from Mark Morris High School with the class of 1974 and attended community college. She retired from the Area Agency on Aging and Disability of Southwest Washington in 2022. She enjoyed camping, beach combing and road trips. Tanya was spiritual, fun-loving, and quirky. She enjoyed a good laugh and will be remembered for her funny quips.

She married John H. Donahue Nov. 18, 1975. They divorced in 1991.

Tanya was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Tyler Donahue; and a sister, Victoria Washington.

Surviving her are her siblings, Johanna Woods, whom Tanya held guardianship of, and Deone Washington, both of Vancouver, Cynthia Mattson (Lonnie Casto)and Denise Oldroyd (Gary), both of Longview, Albert Washington III (Nettie) of Spokane, Wash., Wade Washington (Kim) of Gautier, Miss., Carl Washington (Helen) of Portland, Mary Gilles of Seattle, and Johanna Woods.

A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 3 at the Longview Eagles with Pastor Dave Emery from the Longview Presbyterian Church officiating.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
