Teresa LaJune Glass, 68, of Longview went to Heaven Aug. 5, 2023, at home surrounded by the love of family.
She was born March 21, 1955, in Duncan, Okla., to Glen and Marlene (Yates) Cawvey. She graduated from high school in Gresham, Ore., as well as a beauty school.
Teresa worked as a beautician for more than 15 years, contributing to the quality of life of many seniors. She had a special place in her heart for children and the elderly, particularly her grandchildren. Teresa dedicated eight years to Ansur Saddlery, which specialized in English woodless saddles. She traveled to England, Scotland and Ireland for four months, teaching new employees the technique from start to finish. Teresa retired in 2022 after 15 years as a self-employed housekeeper.
She was an active member of the Longview Bible Baptist Church, where she oversaw the nursery and served as a greeter and Sunday school teacher. Teresa enjoyed Bible study and holding ladies luncheons. Her numerous craft projects were gifted to family and friends, and her homemade ice-cream was a special treat. She was a fun and adventurous prankster who enjoyed camping and zip-lining. Above all, Teresa loved the Lord and spending time with her husband and family.
Teresa married Donald Glass on March 13, 2004, in Vancouver. He survives her at home. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher Isley (Elizabeth) of Hillsboro, Ore., and Patrick Isley of Longview; a brother, Mark Cawvey of Portland; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Marlene Cawvey; and a brother, Terry Cawvey.
A celebration of Teresa’s life is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at Longview Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Darin House officiating. A potluck main dish will be provided by Longview Bible Baptist Church, please bring any deserts you can. Please also bring your favorite memories of Teresa to share.
