Vincent Dominique Vey, a radiant soul who brightened the lives of everyone he encountered, was born on September 1, 1976, in Walla Walla, Washington. Sadly, he passed away on September 27, 2024 in Longview, Washington, in a fatal car accident on SR4. In his final moments, it is comforting to know he experienced very little to no pain.
Vincent was a person whose laughter was infectious; he carried kindness in his heart like a badge of honor. With a personality described as both funny and sunny, he had an extraordinary ability to light up any room he stepped into. In times of darkness, he was a beacon of positivity, always ready to make others smile, even strangers. His presence made every gathering feel like home, and he had a unique gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed.
Vincent’s life was filled with countless moments that will forever remain cherished memories. Though it would be impossible to choose a single favorite, those who had the privilege to know him will always recall a lifetime of laughter and joy. As a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Sadee Vey, and son, Korbyn Vey, he was unwavering in his role as both a father and a friend.
His proudest accomplishments include his diligent work with Taylor Made, being the best father and friend anyone could know.
In addition to his familial accomplishments, Vincent was an enthusiast for various hobbies. He enjoyed metal detecting with his fiancée, Autumn Howell, and clam digging in Long Beach. His passion for collecting coins and discovering new interests brought him immense joy and allowed him to share unforgettable experiences with his loved ones.
Vincent leaves behind a loving family that includes his children, Sadee and Korbyn; his fiancée, Autumn; and siblings, Renee Vey, Michelle Attenhofer, Stephanie Vey, Craig Vey and Ryan Wilsey, along with sister-in-law, Shelby Wilsey, and close friend, Rick Henry. His memory will also linger with his late brother, Thomas Cavanaugh, whose presence will be fondly remembered as Vincent journeys onward.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Vincent Dominique Vey, we honor a man whose essence was kindness and whose laughter will echo through our memories forever. He was a remarkable individual who made the world a brighter place, and though he may have left us too soon, his spirit will continue to inspire love, laughter, and goodwill in all of our hearts.
