Wanda June Feller

June 23, 1951 — August 14, 2021

Wanda June (Custer) Feller exhaled her last troubled earthy breath at 1:21 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, due to COVID. She immediately inhaled a healthy, full breath of pure, refreshing air, while viewing the amazing beauty of heaven. She was welcomed into her eternal home, by the open arms of her personal savior, Jesus, and the cheering crowd of family, friends, and acquaintances who had gone before her.
She was born June 23, 1951, at St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash. She grew up in west Kelso attending Catlin Elementary, Huntington Jr. High and Kelso High School, graduating in 1969 part of the last class of the hill highlanders. She joined the Army and served faithfully until being honorably discharged.
She met John Feller, and they were married in Carson City, Nevada on March 21, 1971. They celebrated their 50th anniversary earlier this year. She was the mother of daughter Kimberly and son Robert. Wanda loved to take day trips to the beach or the Vancouver mall. She also liked to go to Ilani casino. Wanda was an avid reader, knitter, collector of cookbooks and a super duper granny. She was happiest being around family. She loved the holidays and spoiling her grandbabies. She was a daily journalist and loved to keep photos of different states of life. She was well-known for her biscuits and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
She was predeceased by her father, Sigmund Custer; a nephew, Aaron Custer; a niece, Kaylee. She is survived by husband John Feller, Son Robert Feller of Eugene Ore; a daughter, Kimberly in Battle Ground, Wash.; a grandson, A.J. in Spokane; three granddaughters, Ashley, Hailey and Paige in Longview; four great-grandchildren, Faith, Braydon, Oliver, and Jaxxon; her mother, Lucy Custer; five siblings, Dorothy Wilson, Judy (Charlie) Ridenour, Mildred (Terry) Bratholt, and David (Judy) and Michael (Trudy) Custer, all of Kelso; many nephews and nieces, and her very close friend, Mary Andrews of Mt. View, Ark.
The family offers a huge thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at SW Washington Medical Center for their constant, loving care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Feed the Children or any agency that deals with needy children.
A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Longview Memorial Park. Steele Chapel is in charge of final arrangements.
