William “Bill” W. Cox
June 21, 1938- September 6, 2021
Loving and impish William W. Cox was born June 21, 1938 in Longview Washington to William W and Mildred A (Schmale) Cox. He grew up in the local area and graduated in 1956 from R.A. Long High School. He worked at Weyerhauser in the loading shed for many years. He then was the owner and operator of Bill Cox Tire and Wheel.
Bill was a very determined man who would defend his family and himself at all costs. He was resourceful, thrifty, and saw value in many things.He enjoyed teasing those he cared for. He attended Kelso First Baptist Church. Bill loved traveling, cruising, camping, and the great outdoors. He valued life whether it was human or animals.
He is survived by his beloved wife Holly McWain. Also surviving are his children; Son William “Willie” W. Cox VII (Holly Smith) of Kelso, daughter Whitney D Joy (Jeffrey Joy) of Longview, and daughter Elizabeth E. Chandler (Chris Chandler) of Kelso. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Florence L (Cox) Harlan, brother John Richard Cox.
